Dr. Shapiro was born in Boston, MA and attended Stoughton High School. He graduated from Boston College obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Shapiro then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine at The Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Shapiro received his CAGS in periodontics from the same dental school. Dr. Shapiro has been practicing periodontics and implant dentistry for 37 years in private practice in Brockton, MA.

Dr. Shapiro is married and has two sons. He is an avid fan of all Boston sport teams, especially the Celtics. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and golf as well as boating and fishing.
